300 High School Students Hear Gospel

East River High School in Orlando, Florida allowed the high school ministry of Cru to host a dodgeball tourney a few weeks ago. Our staff and volunteers creatively bring students together in a fun setting, speak about a felt need among the student population and transition into how Christ is the ultimate source for healing that situation. They also speak about Christ’s death and resurrection for the forgiveness of sin and new life!

Cru’s volunteer leaders made up of a teacher sponsor and three college students put on an extraordinary outreach event for the school. With 150 students pre-registered to play on 19 teams, 300 students ended up coming out to play in or watch the tournament. It’s exciting to know that all the students there had an opportunity to hear the gospel proclaimed and respond to the good news of Christ. The guys in he photo are on the East River HS football team.

Here’s how you can pray for teenagers this summer.

Students nationwide will depart on summer missions projects to Kenya, Nakuru, Uganda, Tanzania, Kisumu, Hungary, Slovakia, East Asia. These are exciting 4-6 week projects where students share their faith in the community and in schools! It’s such a growing and life changing experience that they can take what they’ve learned overseas and apply it in their school setting at home.

Thank you for your partnership to reach students with the good news of Jesus!

Family Stuff

Praise God for the five families and individuals who recently joined our ministry team through prayer and financial support. This is such a blessing. We pray our ministry will be a blessing to them and you as well.

Ethan is set to begin his Neuro/Bio feedback therapy June 6. He will go off his medication June 6 as well. Please pray that his body would be very responsive to this treatment and that we can send him back to school August 20 without medication. Ethan does have quite a bit of academics to do over this summer, so please pray that he will focus well. There is a dramatic decrease in his reading and processing abilities when he is off his meds. God has provided financially for his first 20 sessions (which will take us through early July). We’re trusting God to provide financially for the remaining 10 sessions. We are also praying Ethan will only need 30 sessions. :)
